Ethical Stand

ETHICAL STAND: MedicalExpress is registered with COPE (Committee on Medical Ethics) and acts according its Code of Conduct https://publicationethics.org/resources/code-conduct and with DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals - https://doaj.org/). It specifically follows the ethical standards of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, as described in http://www.icmje.org/recommendations.
 
MedicalExpress requires that:
 
  1. Research on human subjects must have received specific approval from the Institutional Ethics Committee and that a proper Informed Consent has been understood and freely accepted and signed by every included person; it must abide by The Declaration of Helsinki https://www.wma.net/what-we-do/medical-ethics/declaration-of-helsinki/
  2. Clinical assays must have received an identification number from the Clinical Assays Registrations validated according to criteria established by the WHO and the ICMJE. The identification number must be stated at the end of the abstract. Such registration must have been made prior to the enrolment of any persons in the clinical trial.
  3. Research involving animals shall have received specific approval from the Institutional Ethics Committee and must follow the norms established by the Basel Declaration http://www.basel-declaration.org/.
